Alexandra: Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Adelphi University

As one of the owners of SensationALL Kids, I get to call this place home every single day. We opened the office in July 2017 and it was one of the best decisions of my life. I am a fully licensed Speech- Language Pathologist in New York State. I currently hold my Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities Certification, and Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I am PROMPT trained, Orofacial Myologist (IAOM Certification Track), Level I Certified in Picture Exchange Communication (PECS) and trained in various Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices/programs. There is nothing I love more than witnessing the excitement of each child when they walk through our doors. When I am not at the office I am spending time with my husband Anthony, son Nino and daughter Alessia!

Lauren: Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Adelphi University

I am licensed by the board of New York State. I currently hold my Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities certification and Certificate in Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I hold extensive training in the PROMPT therapy approach, Orofacial Myologist (IAOM Certification Track), SMILE reading program, Autism Certificate and Augmentative and Alternative Communication devices. I am currently completing my Level 1 training in the Orton-Gillingham approach and look forward to utilizing this with my current and future clients. You can find me at the office in the morning, afternoon and evenings! I love being able to work with children and bring the power of communication into their lives.

Lindsey: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from New York University

Being in the field for 10 years, I have experience working with the pediatric population from birth to 18 years of age, including children with receptive and expressive language delays, articulation disorders, apraxia of speech, developmental/genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorder, feeding difficulties, and more! I am PROMPT trained and have a strong background in delivering therapy using alternative/augmentative communication systems. I’ve been a part of this “SensationALL” team for over two years and it has proven to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my career!

Cassidy M: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology and a minor in Psychology from St. John’s University

Being a speech therapist has given me full understanding of the quote “love what you do and you’ll never work a day in your life.” I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence and Level I PROMPT Training. My favorite part of this career is helping each child succeed and achieve his or her goals. I strive to motivate my clients and build their self confidence, empowering them with the skills they need to create a brighter future. I have a strong interest especially in working with the early intervention population with expressive/receptive language delays and the adult population presenting with both traumatic and acquired brain injuries. When I am not at SensationALL Kids, I enjoy spending time with my grandpa, exercising, being on the beach, or getting lost in a really good book.

Jessica: Speech-Language Pathologist

My name is Jessica and I have recently graduated with my Master’s degree in speech-language pathology. My love for this field has grown strong since the beginning of my time as an intern at SK, watching children with speech and language difficulties find their voices! I have a passion for helping others and making a difference, and that is why I am excited to embark on this new journey, helping children find their voices and expand their language to make a difference in their lives. I can’t wait to join the SK team and begin my career in this amazing field!

 

Kelsey M: Speech-Language Pathologist

My name is Kelsey! I received my Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Molloy College. I have also obtained my Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification, along with training in the PROMPT therapy approach. I am eager to further my education, as I hope to receive additional training in the future. I feel grateful to have chosen a career where I can make a positive difference in someone’s life, no matter how small it is. I believe in celebrating the little things and to me that is what the job of an SLP is all about!

Fun Fact: I used to work at a Birthday Party Center and dressed up as characters, such as Elsa, Spongebob, Elmo .. you name it!”

Jessica S: Speech- Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from New York University

My name is Jessica and I am a NYS licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. I also hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I love being able to work with children of all ages, and their families, in order to meet their speech and language goals; it is such a rewarding experience! I also enjoy continuously learning and growing in the field so that I can continue to support my clients.

Fun Fact: I am currently learning how to play the Kalimba, which is a musical instrument that can be referred to as a “thumb piano”!

Taylor: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from St. John’s University

My name is Taylor Volini M.A. CCC-SLP, TSSLD. I received my Master’s Degree from St. John’s University in 2019. I currently hold my Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification, and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. My clinical experiences vary, however I center my practice in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and working with children with various disabilities. I hold many professional training and certificates such as: PROMPT Level I, Autism From the Inside Out, Pivotal Response Training, ABA training, LAMP Words for Life, ‘Tuning Into Behavior,’ and Picture Exchange Communication System. I love to learn new therapy tactics to help my clients succeed!

Alexis F: Speech- Language Pathologist

I am a NY state licensed speech language pathologist and upstanding member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). I am a DOE speech teacher in addition to working with my kiddos here at SensationALL. I’ve worked with children and young adults varying in age from 0 to 21. I have completed Level 1 of PROMPT training and am experienced with using AAC devices across communicative environments. I think it is important to keep the “FUN” in “functional” language and communication.

I am always looking for new ways to improve my techniques and strategies within the speech & language field. It is important to not use a one size fits all approach!

Fun Fact: I have visited the country of Aruba over 15 times!

Alyssa A: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Long Island University – Brooklyn Campus

I have experience using many different types of AAC devices and using reading/writing programs such as SMILE, FUNdations, and First Author.

JoAnn R: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from St. John’s University

My name is JoAnn Roland and I graduated from St. John’s with a degree in Speech-Language Pathology! I love hanging with my family and friends. I have two dogs named Bella and Franky. I love to dance and travel. My goal in life is to alleviate speech and language challenges in children!

Amanda D: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from NOVA Southeastern University

I am a full-time school-based speech therapist, and I’m also part of this wonderful team at SensationALL Kids. My clinical experience includes working with the pediatric population (i.e., birth to 18-years-old), children with receptive and expressive language delays, articulation disorders, motor speech disorders, fluency disorders, developmental/genetic disorders, autism spectrum disorder, feeding difficulties, and other disorders that result in communication difficulties. The most exciting part of what I do is watching my clients make progress and gain more self-confidence. I am always looking forward to working with families to help their children become more effective communicators.

Nicole P: Speech- Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Kean University

My name is Nicole and I graduated with my Master’s degree from Kean University in 2018. I graduated with a minor in American Sign Language and I am Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) trained with experience in working with students utilizing Augmentative and Alternative (AAC) communication devices. When I am not at SensationALL Kids I work in a school with children and adults with autism. I love this field because it allows me to give my clients a voice and grow their confidence with communication in many different modalities. I’m excited to be a part of the SensationALL team and continue to grow as a therapist and help my clients reach their full potential. Some of my favorite things are spending time with my family and friends, cooking and dancing!

Jessica: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Western Kentucky University based out of NYC

I have been working with children (birth to elementary) as a Speech Pathologist since 2012. When I am not at SensationALL Kids, I work for a Department of Education Elementary School. I am trained in various reading programs such as Wilson FUNdations, Orton Gillingham and SMILE.

Taylor T: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from Brooklyn College

My name is Taylor and I have recently graduated from CUNY Brooklyn College with my Master’s degree in speech-language pathology. I have been with SensationALL Kids since they first opened their doors as an intern and administrative assistant and now I am so excited to finally join the team as an SLP to be able to help individuals find their voice. When I am not at SensationALL Kids, I enjoy shopping and spending time with my family. I love to eat pizza, go to the beach, and help people!

Angelina C: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Molloy College

As a recent graduate from Molloy College, I have obtained my Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, as well as my Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities certification. I am a school-based SLP in a special education program for students ranging from 14-21 during the day and look forward to my afternoons at SensationALL Kids. I enjoy furthering my education to better myself as a clinician, such as obtaining training in the PROMPT therapy approach. Communication is the essence of human life, and I am so proud to be a member of what I consider to be the best profession on earth!

Alyssa B.: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Adelphi University

I am a school-based SLP in Brooklyn by day and a SensationALL Kids SLP by night. I am a Level 1 PROMPT certified. I also specialize in phonemic awareness and literacy skills and am trained in numerous multisensory reading programs such as Sounds in Motion, Preventing Academic Failure and Recipe for Reading. I love swimming, watching Netflix, and making people laugh!

Carissa: Speech-Language Pathologist

M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from St. John’s University

When I am not at Sensationall Kids, I am treating elementary school kiddos within the Department of Education. I am PROMPT level 1 trained. I love to incorporate Montessori based approaches within my sessions! I am eager to grow and learn more effective treatment strategies to provide support to my amazing students!

Nicole O: Speech Language Pathologist

M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from Western Kentucky University

I am a NY state licensed Speech Pathologist working for the Department of Education since 2015. I have experience working with children in grades pre-k – fifth in the school setting. I have also worked for an early intervention agency with children from birth-3 years of age. I am trained in various reading programs such as Wilson’s and Reading Rescue.

Alexandra K.: Administrative Assistant

Alexandra became an intern at SensationALL Kids in May of 2018 and has been working as a receptionist since the end of 2018. She graduated from St. John’s University in 2019, Summa Cum Laude and with a Bachelor of Arts. She majored in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and minored in Psychology. She is currently a first-year graduate student at CUNY Brooklyn College. She is intended to graduate in August 2021 with a Masters of Science. She has clinical experience at the Diana Davidow Rogovin Speech-Language-Hearing Center at Brooklyn College in areas such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, apraxia of speech, expressive language delay, and speech sound disorders. She also has experience improving independence and self-goals when working with children with Autism. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching Netflix, and going to concerts. She hopes to one day travel the world with her family and friends!

Angelica became an intern at SensationALL Kids in July of 2019 and began working as a receptionist in the summer of 2020. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. John’s University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts. She is currently a first-year graduate student at Molloy College and is intended to graduate in May 2022 with a Masters of Science. During her time as an intern, she was able to assist our therapists in designing and executing various client activities. The experiences and knowledge she gained from interning solidified her desire to work with children in her future career as a speech-language pathologist. She is very excited to continue to learn and grow as a clinician during her time in graduate school!
